This site was originally about the real estate industry, but now it is about politics, economics, government, freedom, entrepreneurship, innovation, objectivty and other such stuff important to humans. I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in limited government -- this blog explains why.

If you are ever in Savannah, this is a great place to eat. Service, ambience, great food -- it has it all.

It's within walking distance to where I'm living and working on the duplex I should finish in 2040.

One of the amazing things about this area is the renovation. I walk along the streets once or twice a week and see it changing before my eyes.

I love to watch progress, it has a deep meaning to me -- taking what has been run down and adding the vision of each renovator. There is something inspiring about witnessing the endurance of the human spirit in action. Some of the old Victorians have undergone changes that have not only brought the style and character back to life, but something modern has been added that if done right is quite unique. I wish more homes being built in the subdivisions had the builders true vision in them rather than the patterned sameness replicated over and over.

But, all that aside, this is a good place to eat.

    Does Google need frills?

Lani wrote a good post about Google and Search Me the other day, but I'm wondering if Google needs to change their site. For search results I still like good results delivered straight. The moving web pages of Search Me are annoying-- I find them distracting.

Google's success has been their straight forward, no frills, delivery of good results.

I understand visual enhancements for sites -- I want my own site to be more visually pleasing (however, it delivers just fine the way it is), but sometimes that can be misleading and distracting. It might be me, but when I'm searching for information I want it delivered straight-up with no distractions.

I have started using Google in many ways -- note keeping, information management, documents, calendars, news source - and what I like is the plainness an simplicity of it. There are no distractions.

Interview With Blogging Guru, Mike Farmer

Me: So, Mike, to what do you attribute your outstanding blogging prowess?

Mike: Well, being brilliant doesn't hurt, but in all sincerity I attribute my superiority as a blogger to my ability to blog well. Having this ability enables me to blog in ways of which others can only dream.

Me: We all know that you have changed the blogosphere in many ways, but to what degree do you think you've changed the internet and perhaps the world?

Mike: That's hard to measure, but I'd say I have set a very high standard of excellence -- my only regret is that I might have set the bar so high that others will give up in frustration.

Me: I see...interesting, so in a paradoxical way you could actually destroy blogging by setting the bar so high that no one even attempts to achieve what you have accomplished?

Mike: Exactly, and this makes me sad. I never intended to be this great, it just sort of happened.

Me: You are a very humble and compassionate man, too -- I can feel your agony over this. Perhaps you've created a category of excellence that only you occupy and others can struggle along in lesser categories.

Mike: I hope so, because blogging is such a useful tool -- I'd hate to be responsible for its demise.

Me: So, what do you have to tell our readers about social media marketing?

Mike: I have transformed that as well.

Me: I see...interesting, and what do you think is the next movement you will transform? Is there something on the horizon that you have yet to master?

Mike: There is something I have been fiddling with and plan to reveal soon -- I don't want to give too much of it away, but it has to do with virtual excellence and a cult site where users can worship me in mash-ups and network with each other at the same time-- I will be creating worship widgets, too.

Me: How will you monetize this effort?

Mike: Love offerings mostly, and a $235.00 sign up fee.

Me: Excellent! Count me in! Well, thanks for this enlightening interview.

    Mike: I don't take checks.

    Me: Oh, ok, well, thanks.

Mike: The first 100 worshipers get a card with my picture on it.

Me: Oh, ok, good, well, thanks, and I'll be seeing you later.

Mike: It might be a $250.00 sign up fee after September.

Me: Uh...bye...that's it, the interview is over.

Mike: And if you write a blog about me I'll....
