This site was originally about the real estate industry, but now it is about politics, economics, government, freedom, entrepreneurship, innovation, objectivty and other such stuff important to humans. I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in limited government -- this blog explains why.

    Oh, I forgot

There're two people running for president, right?

And what do you know? They both are competing to blame Wall Street greed the most. Obama says the Republicans have let the market run wild. If it wasn't so funny, I'd cry. I do agree with Obama that coporate welfare needs to end, followed closely by all the other welfare schemes he favors.

Yet, it baffles me that he can see the problem of government/free enterprise enmeshment then come to the conclusion that laissez-faire is the culprit. It baffles me that after all the regulations the government has created to manage almost every area of the economy, his answer is more regulation, the right kind of regulation -- HIS regulation.

How can an intelligent person come to such an ignorant conclusion? The Democrats had such a wonderful opportunity this year to move from their stale leftist propaganda to retake the mantle of true liberalism, yet they continue to talk like out-of-touch sophomores at a political protest rally.

God save us all if the likes of Obama, Reid, Biden, Schumer, Frank, Pelosi, Clinton and Waxman gain control of government for the next four years. It's frightening to imagine what America will look like.

At least McCain has the grounding for some sort of limits to be placed on government. As bad as the alternative is, I have come to the conclusion that Republicans must win in order to stave off complete collapse. This is not about an election to find a great leader, it's an election of practical self-defense for all the people of this country who want to salvage what we have left of freedom and economic sanity.

There will be rubble in our financial sector to clear either way, but what is re-built is the major concern. The Democrats that are in power now are likely to re-build something that doesn't resemble the country we all love. What we really need are representatives to rise outside the Washington system who will go in and take back power and squash these statist bugs.
